A therapeutic program where we use surf and the waves as tools for inclusion.
Kind Surf is an NGO founded in 2012 by Almudena Fernández and Aritz Aranburu, using surfing as therapy to support children and young people with functional diversity. The practice of surfing and contact with the sea offer a range of mental, physical, and social benefits. By incorporating it into their lifestyle, our surfers experience improvements in their overall well-being.
Continuity Program
The Kind Surf continuity program offers young people with functional diversity the opportunity to enjoy surfing and the waves of Zarautz every week for five months. Our Kind surfers also experience a profound emotional impact. The sea sees us all with the same eyes; it doesn’t matter where we come from or our circumstances, it makes us free.
Kind Surf Challenge
We organize events like the Kind Surf Challenge, combining our passion for surfing with a social purpose. We give visibility to brands and organizations that align with our values of inclusion, solidarity, and sportsmanship.
